President Joe Biden pardoned his son Hunter Biden on Sunday after months of claiming he would not do so.
After a Delaware jury convicted Hunter Biden in June on counts that he knowingly possessed the gun while suffering a drug addiction and made false statements on the purchase document, the president said that he would not commute his son’s sentence. Biden issued a statement announcing the pardon, writing that his son was singled out in the judicial process because of their relationship.
