It snowed on and off all night up here in northeastern PA; switching several times between snow and rain. Soggy mess, but NOT a lot of accumulation. Only 1″ or so right now. At 10:37 AM EST – we lost Grid Electric Power.
Solar Batteries are powering the house. We HAVE a generator and fuel when needed.
The last time we got a heavy, wet, snow like this, a slew of trees had come down and took out electric here for FIVE DAYS! Got through it OK thanks to the generator, albeit at one gallon of fuel per hour. VERY expensive.
This storm is scheduled to abate around 4:00 PM this afternoon, so we seem to be through most of it – if the forecasters are right.
Onward we go . . .
