Democratic Pennsylvania Sen. Bob Casey released a video Thursday evening on social media conceding to Republican candidate Dave McCormick in the heated Pennsylvania Senate race.
Tension had been rising between the two candidates following Election Day, as the state’s ballots headed to a recount on Nov. 13 after Casey declined to waive his right to a recount. However, in a newly released video posted on X, Casey congratulated the now Republican Senator-elect, noting how close the race had been between the two.
