Sometimes, when you’re campaigning for a movie musical about a Mexican drug lord who wants gender-affirming surgery, you have to pay respects to the classics, especially ones that are near and dear to your heart. Emilia Pérez’s Karla Sofía Gascón is no stranger to talking up Star Wars, as the peak of awards season is just months away.
