One of the craziest last-second moments in sports history occurred in an unlikely setting: a college soccer game.
Stanford Men’s Soccer punched its ticket to the quarterfinals of the ACC tournament after defeating Notre Dame 3-2 on Wednesday night. Stanford’s Dylan Hooper scored the winning goal in the game’s final seconds with a last-ditch, half-field boot that sailed over his entire team and looped into the top corner of the net, leaving the goalie and Notre Dame defense absolutely stunned.
