Ditching DeMar DeRozan for Jessie Reyez, Drake’s ‘National Treasure’ Remark Gets Canadian Singer’s Approval

The Toronto Raptors had an emotional night, but that vibe wasn’t what Drake was only looking for when he came to Scotiabank Arena. After getting a shoutout from Vince Carter himself, all that the music artist came looking for was beef! The retired 22-season NBA veteran’s jersey was retired earlier, but that was not the only recent highlight from the Toronto night. Drake, the superstar that he is, had his own moments. Heckling DeMar DeRozan wasn’t his only claim to fame, not that he needs any more fame.

In attendance for the game was another Canadian musician, Jessie Reyez. She and Drake go way back. In 2020, she recorded Love In The Dark and followed it with a cover of Drake’s single Headlines, which was featured on his 2011 studio album Take Care.
