Republican congressional candidate Lily Tang Williams of New Hampshire lit into Democratic congressional candidate Maggie Goodlander during a Thursday debate, WMUR reported.
Williams and Goodlander had sharp exchanges during the forum over the economy after the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that only 12,000 jobs were created in October earlier Friday. Williams called out Goodlander over her net worth, noting that the Democratic nominee had portrayed herself as a renter in a previous campaign pitch. “You’re worth $20 million or $30 million,” Williams said. “How did you know about regular people’s suffering? Do you go shopping, go to warm up, buy food? I talked to those people.”
