MLB Nearly Pulls In Mammoth 18 Million Viewers For World Series Game 1, Hasn’t Been Done Since 2017

America was clearly dreaming of a Yankees-Dodgers World Series — as was I.

The World Series matchup in 2023 between the Texas Rangers and Arizona Diamondbacks was an absolute snoozefest in terms of brand appeal, and it showed in the television ratings as a national audience was non-existent. When we got to the 2024 Fall Classic between the New York Yankees and Los Angeles Dodgers, there was hope from MLB that World Series ratings would recover.
