The No. 1 pick of the 2020 NHL Draft, left wing Alexis Lafrenière agreed on a seven-year contract extension Friday with the New York Rangers.

Lafrenière didn’t meet the hype in his first three seasons in the NHL; however, 2023-24 ended up being a breakout year for the Canadian.
