Dalton Knecht caught fire to lead the Lakers to an insane overtime win over the Suns. JJ Redick was without his two starters, LeBron James and Rui Hachimura. Needless to say, AD picked up the load, but he had a helping hand in the Lakers No. 17 pick. And boy, was Knecht off like a bullet! In fact, Skip Bayless dubbed him “the igniter” in his tweet.
But he wasn’t the only one. LeBron James took to IG with a four-word praise. And in the process, he may have just given him a nickname. “CANNON!!!!!!! That boy COLD!!!!” he wrote on a post by the Lakers IG handle. The post in question had the caption, “35 points, 13 in overtime — way to go rook,” followed by a salute emoji.
