Utah’s Cam Rising Could Potentially Play A Whopping Eighth Year After Suffering Season-Ending Leg Injury

Imagine playing college football for eight years … That could be a reality for Cam Rising.

The Utah quarterback unfortunately saw his 2024 season come to an end recently. However, it doesn’t necessarily mean his career in college football is a wrap.

Kyle Whittingham, head coach of the Utes, made the announcement Monday that Rising won’t be active indefinitely because of an injury to his lower leg. With that being said, though, Rising actually has eligibility to come back for a whopping eighth season of college pigskin by using a medical redshirt. (RELATED: GIRL FIGHT! “We’ll have to consider it, not sure if Cam has considered it,” stated Whittingham.
