The song appears on the band’s forthcoming LP, Barely Blue
Midland stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live to perform their new song “Lone Star State of Mind.” The Texas group showcased the pensive country anthem for the excited late-night crowd, offering a preview of their forthcoming LP, Barely Blue, out Sept. 20.
Barely Blue, the band’s fourth album, was recorded with Dave Cobb at Georgia Mae Studios in Savannah, Georgia. The group announced the album earlier this summer with single “Lucky Sometimes,” which saw them teaming up with Chris Stapleton and Brandi Carlile.
“Dave Cobb had been a producer we wanted to work with since we first heard Sturgill Simpson’s Metamodern Sounds in Country Music,” lead singer and guitarist Mark Wystrach said in a statement around the announcement….
