Rock musician Kid Rock commended former President Donald Trump for his promise to remove taxes on tips should he be reelected, calling him “a genius.”
Trump made this campaign promise last week during a rally in Nevada, a state he lost to President Joe Biden in the 2020 election. Kid Rock, whose real name is Robert James Ritchie, explained he is a bar owner who has spoken to other bar and restaurant owners and called Trump’s promise “HUGE.”
“Most small businesses have all had challenges in staffing,” Kid Rock wrote on Truth Social. “This will solve so many problems for so many hard working Americans! Trump is a genius and for the working class! Biden is straight Hollywood!”
Kid Rock included a photo of a receipt he was given at a restaurant, on which he wrote, “A vote for Trump is a vote for no tax on tip!!” and gifted the waiter a $400 tip.
