It appears both the Boston Celtics and Dallas Mavericks will be at full strength when Game 1 of the NBA Finals tips off on Thursday.
The Athletic reported Tuesday that Celtics big Kristaps Porzingis is expected to play in Game 1 after missing their last 10 games due to a calf injury.
On Wednesday, Porzingis confirmed that he would play on Thursday.
Porzingis’ return is obviously a boost for the Celtics, who won 64 games in the regular season and are 12-2 so far in the playoffs. They’ll be getting back a 7-foot-3 big who averaged 20.1 points and 7.2 assists per game for them in the regular season.
As the Celtics get one of their stars back, will it boost their odds of winning the NBA Finals? Check out the latest via FanDuel Sportsbook as of June 6.
