The fauxtrage surrounding Harrison Butker’s commencement speech at Benedictine College is still swirling nine days after he gave it, with the hot takes continuing to pour in from opportunistic critics for whom virtue signaling is a way of life, and the golden ticket to all the important parties.
The star Kansas City Chiefs kicker, as we previously reported, caused pearls to be clutched after he talked about traditional values from a Catholic perspective, tore into Joe Biden on the abortion issue, and had some very pointed things to say about woke/LGBTQ culture. He also – gasp – paid homage to motherhood in what was perhaps his worst “offense” according to these same people (the full speech can be read here).
