The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is advising shoppers to avoid charcuterie meats from Sam’s Club and Costco due to a salmonella outbreak.
Some 22 states have reported cases of salmonella associated with the Busseto charcuterie sampler from Sam’s Club in the nine-ounce twin pack and the Fratelli Beretta antipasto gran beretta platter from Costco in the 12-ounce twin pack. Both feature a variety of Italian deli meats and have resulted in 47 nationwide cases and 10 hospitalizations of salmonella infections.
