NHL goalie wears painted mask to honor Native Americans, defying league rules

Minnesota Wild goalie Marc-Andrew Fleury broke with NHL rules in wearing a specialty mask on Friday.

Fleury brought the mask out while warming up on the Native American Heritage Night hosted by his team. His mask was painted for the occasion, and it was meant to honor his wife, who is native.
