Shares of Tesla rose to start the week, putting the electric-vehicle maker’s shares among the S&P 500’s top advancers in morning trading.
Tesla stock was recently up 1.7%. The move follows the news that the company built its first Cybertruck, as well as price cuts from Ford on its Lightning electric pickup. Ford’s shares were down 4.8%.
Shares of some other EV companies, including Nikola and Rivian, fell in early trading Monday. Lucid Group stock edged higher.
