U.S. stock indexes turned lower Friday after labor market data showed the economy added jobs at a solid, but slower, pace last month.
Major indexes initially surged after the report but gave up their gains, turning lower midday. The S&P 500 was recently down 0.3%. The tech-focused Nasdaq Composite lost 0.6% and the Dow Jones Industrial Average shed 0.2%.
