UnitedHealth Raises Earnings Outlook as Quarterly Revenue Up 13%

UnitedHealth Group raised its outlook for the second consecutive quarter after posting higher revenue and profit for the recently ended period, helped by an increase in new members.

The healthcare and health-insurance giant, the first industry heavyweight to report second-quarter results, on Friday said revenue rose 13% to $80.3 billion, driven by double-digit revenue growth at both its Optum and UnitedHealthcare units.
