Joe Biden officially announced a ban on Russian oil imports as part of his response to Vladimir Putin’s ongoing assault on Ukraine. He detailed the ban on Russian oil, liquefied natural gas and coal during a speech at the White House Tuesday. He said the move targets the “main artery” of Russia’s economy, which he pointed out has cratered amid new sanctions.
Biden’s decision will not impact uranium imports from Russia. The U.S. President also called the move another powerful blow to Putin, who’s partly funding his war through revenue from oil exports….
